Tact Actors Shares ‘Traps’. Listen Good. Listen For Pleasure.

TACT ACTORS had been formed in 2010 by David Cotton and Michael Allen. As artists go, they get restless when there’s just not enough stimulation. So, Cotton went on a mission. The duo had reformed and formulated then quickly released their debut album, ‘Exist In Pictures’ in 2011.

Now we are in the current 2018, and TACT ACTORS’ latest single ‘Traps’ off of the 10 song LP ‘Words’, they are on the train to add to the conversation with their heavy 80’s wave-pop-rock influences guiding their way.

“‘Words’, is a nod to some of Cotton’s earlier writing, with a straight forward delivery and urgency on full display. Taking excerpts from the challenges of those close to him, as well as an introspective view of his own struggles and victories, Cotton takes the songs to a level of intimacy not seen on previous albums. With the help of several guest musicians and Allen’s rock solid foundation, Cotton’s songwriting excels in an already exciting age of indie rock.”

To us at CHF, TACT ACTORS’ way of music construction is an odd and weirdly rhythmic experience. But we love the awkwardness, for it is the element that becomes innovative and unique. Listening to their the album ‘Words’, you’ll quickly find out that this is a central theme. The songs are deep and prophetic, at time. But best of all, there are small nuggets of interest relative to many tastes out there.

We’d recommend you listen to the album. Our fave is faster paced, ‘Dreaming In Extremes’, which is particularly savory.

Anywho, seems the duo at TA doesn’t have any social media presence (as of yet), so until they do, go to the Soundcloud page and listen.

Listen good. Listen for pleasure.
