The Colonies’ Single ‘Fade’ Feels Like a Fade, But Seek Deeper. It’s Worth It.

Not just another college band? Well, we think underneath the under-produced single is something bit more special than at first glance. Imagine: the exact lyrics and instruments presented a bit more loudly and more emphatically, this kinda-bedroom-diy-pop song could be a fabulous addition to any trophy wall of animal like convergence.

What we’re saying is that we dig this song.

You should too.

For there are many unintended faults of the song, but they can be dismissed. As we’d stated, it’s a song that is not at all Washington D.C.-esque, but belongs in the annuls of those indie pop songs coming from the great state of California.

And that’s a good thing.

Hence, our two thumbs up.

The Colonies consists of young bucks from Georgetown University named: Pete Stevens, Joey Mamlin, Jordan Mullaney, Dylan Trupiano, and Luke Gibson.

Wonder what their parties look like?

Kudos gang! Keep on truckin’!
