‘Stay Up’ is perhaps the song that best synthesizes the rebirth of The Feather as a musical project and of Thomas Medard as a person.
Said Thomas: “But at the same time I don’t think I could ever let go of the point of making songs so different from my comfort zone without going through such dark times.”
This song is both simple and sophisticated, bright and dark. His light and heady bass line contrasts with his almost desperate lyrics. “Will you stay up if I’m away, leading the long ride”. Thomas talks about his lack of control over the limits of his own body. “There’s something in the way, it’s a fire. Burning down my wings and pulling me under ”.

ROOM SESSION #3 📹 American singer-songwriter @clairo is for me the perfect definition of a so-called ‘bedroom pop’ artist. As @thenewyorkermagazine put it "Like many terms used to characterize micro-genres, bedroom pop is a misnomer—not all of it is recorded in bedrooms, and most of it is not popular—but it is an apt description of a woozy lo-fi style generated from self-imposed isolation…" #Clairo #ROOMSESSION #ROOM #playlocal #cover
