The Little Miss aka Hayley Johnson has transformed herself, and we think her distinct baritone voice is used to distinct use. Most importantly, her whimsy and humor into her lyrics (via her natural personality) seems to coincide and seamlessly overlap with pleasure. In her new single ‘A Ride Along The Mountain Valley’ she demonstrates these combination of components, in full effect.
We think her talents LIVE in this world of modern bluegrass distinction. The better use of her talents, has been done swimmingly, with the circular pegs fitting into the appropriate segments.
And we’re so happy about that.
The respect is that her ‘do what seems right’ attitude. She’s done indie-folk-ish songs before, but this seems to be her most extreme of spectrum. The bold move is fantastic, and gold.
Compared to her more traditional pop genre singles, the high-beam is brighter and the clarity in describing her song’s direction is fine tuned.
There’s something to hold on to.
Hold on to Hayley.
New upcoming EP ‘American Dream’ is on its way.
