The Naked Sun Shares ‘Secrets We Both Know’. “Honesty in the age of lies.”

Off of the upcoming EP ‘Avec la Verite’, Vous Avez le Droit d’Aimer’ (With the Truth you Have the Right to Love), THE NAKED SUN, serves up a beautifully understand and sultry vibe in the single ‘Secrets We Both Know’. The upcoming EP is an authentic examination of romance and – as the title suggests – honesty in the age of lies.

Folk rock band THE NAKED SUN self-describes themselves as ‘honest rock’. We are guessing that they attribute their songs with lots of love, affection, and heart when in construction.

The Philadelphia based band of 6 artists come together as a fabulous pallet for describing humor, cynicism, love, and loss. Confusions of life and relationships are a big part of the band’s cry for creativity, and in their ‘honest rock’ style, they keep the thrust of mood and moodiness, delightfully at arm’s length, just so we all have the chance to feel and experience the full glamor of the banal and most luxurious.

Betrayal, heartbreak, secrets, lies and the aftermath – songwriter Drew Harris was inspired to write these group of songs after witnessing the relationships of some of his closest friends suffer from the effects of secrets and lies.

The second single, “Secret We Both Know,” begs the question: “What’s a secret if we both know?”

See them next at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia, on October 18th.
