The Prairie States ‘Every Little Town’ : Sentimental and poignant, the connection is always profound.

The Prairie States

Mixing the cadence and rhythms of 60’s soul and 70’s rock with modern country, The Prairie States was born out of a desire to put a fresh touch on a classic design. As recipients of the 2018 ACMA awards for Rising Star and Fan’s Choice, as well as 1st place in the Project Wild Artist Development Program, it’s proof that this Edmonton based band is moving in the right direction. The video for Every Little Town was shot in the Alberta town of Bashaw, which has a very unique tie to the band.

Jeff’s father was raised there and his parents owned and operated the local movie theatre, the Majestic. While the video showcases members from Bashaw community in their day to day life, the band is performing the song in the old theatre. At the end of the video, Jeff’s father makes an appearance reliving some of his old duties as an usher at the Majestic.

Sentimental and poignant, the connection is always profound.
