EP. NEWEST. ‘PART TIME PUNKS SESSIONS’. LISTEN.
Their latest EP, ‘Part Time Punks Sessions’ is about them, their works, their quirks, their likes, their fears, and maybe their future. For it’s always been about the connection the core duo of Mistina and David that sung through their music. And there’s no reason that they would stop now. With glaring darkness that shines like jet black shards of black glass, The Prids come at their audience with pure joy of play, and admiration for their place in this world. With abounding mix of style and mixes, the thoughtful and deliberately kind adjuncts of their personalities amplify like no other.
THE PRIDS? THEY ROCK.
NME once said about The Prids’ this way: “For a band that has created magnificently sincere, dark noise pop since the mid 1990s…near-heroic blasts of melodic 90s American fuzz guitar that wouldn’t sound entirely out of place on a Built To Spill…it’s Mistina + David’s often co-sung vocals, delivered with a heartfelt severity, that remain at the core of these songs’ power. It feels at once like the best, most affecting aspects of what they’ve accomplished and a fresh start, with the band curtailing its Goth/New Wave fetishism and, with a renewed sense of purpose, harvesting every ounce of emotional impact and loveliness out of these ten songs.” WORD.
MEET MISTRINA + DAVID
The duo has been doing the music thing for a long time. The vets of music know what they want, and strived to get it. Within their works, they’d produced 4 albums and EPs to quench their thrist for creativity, originating from Portland Oregon.

Annnnd we are on hiatus from live shows. David and I started playing music together in 1995 when we were just 17 and 21, and we certainly aren’t going to be quitting anytime soon! A line up change is coming, but in the mean time we’ll be releasing a few things so keep an eye out. 👀 David’s project @leadingpsychics have an album coming, old Prids demos from the 90s will be released as well as some other music! Stayed tuned.
CUTENESS, GOTH STYLE? NOPE. IT’S CALLED THE PRIDS STYLE, BABY.
Their latest EP is ‘Part Time Punks Sessions’ and it is a continuation and a salute to what they know they are capable of. Providing the goodness and ‘bad-ness’ of rock n’ punk plus everything in between. It’s their love that you get to feel in their craft.
YOU CAN FEEL THEIR MUSIC MANIFESTED BY THE EMBODIMENT OF THEIR SOULS. EVEN FROM 1995.
We as humans live, grow, mature, and get to create things that other animals cannot. The Prids do their thing with earnest paintings of notes unto waves of triumphs. Then share those pieces of their love, with the love for their fans. It comes from their humble beginnings. But the glimpse of hope and generosity never degrades in time or in medium. Love never leaves.
THE PRIDS + FRANZ FERDINAND? THIS HAPPNED.
Heroes have their own heroes too. Everyone, no matter how vulnerable or insurmountable have their fan-boy/girl moments. We get giddy when The Prids play with the best, of the best, all around the world.
SEE THEM NEXT IN NJ (JERSEY CITY) WITH OTHER GREAT ACTS.
