Montreal quartet dices you up with refreshing guitar driven rock tune ‘Sooner Or Later’. Consisting of Alberto D’Onofrio (Guitar), Benjamin Morris (Guitar, Vox), Matthew Grippo (Bass, Keyboards), and Jeremy Grippo (Drums, Percussion), THE UNFOUND is a band that rocks your tail off.
Formed in 2017, the gritty and emotive chords are reminiscent of great Brit and Canadian rock bands of the past decades. The band is rock first. Loud, urgent, but with the decadent construction, and classic makeup of song, their additions to this musical Universe is eye opening and delicious in every way.
The Unfound said: “it is one of the very first songs we wrote as a band. The song is a fan favorite, and we always close our shows with it. The tone of the song is heavy and exciting, so it gets people moving, but it also has a huge sing-along chorus that really connects with the audience. The song is about human resilience, and the ability of people to bounce back in the face of bad situations.”
From listening to ‘Sooner Or Later’ you don’t get the feeling that it’s half-assed. It’s mature, with all of the corners marked, as the grip of rock just pours down your throat that was parched for songs like this for so long.
It’s distinctive, unique, ol’ school, but fabulously modern in its production.
Their debut single title is a smash.
As for the accompanying music video the band said: “We came up with the ‘Sooner Or Later’ video concept together, and fortunately for us, our lead guitarist, Alberto also happens to be a filmmaker. The video was inspired by those rage rooms, where you can go and relieve pent-up frustration by smashing up old TVs and all kinds of junk with baseball bats. As the song is about catharsis, we thought it would be awesome to show a few characters at their wit’s end, letting out their rage together. The shoot was an incredible thing to be a part of, and our dedicated cast had a lot of fun laying waste to the various items we had collected”.
