The Woods Share New Video For Single ‘Armchair Expert’. Cascading Billows Of Folk & Shimmering Light.

Today was her birthday. We planned on the celebration of her birth, many years ago. We love her as much as the moon is large in the sky. She means the world to us and always be. We fell in love with her demure but strong willed introspective character, from the beginning. Now, we think we first saw her in the year of the blue oxen. She was beautiful in every way. Her silhouette cast a large shadow on to every object in her way; positively influencing and supporting their little projects and ambitions.

We obviously followed her to every facet of her life. We followed her into her happiness and her challenges; accustomed to her smiles in warding off trouble, and to console and warmly caress.

We celebrated her birthday today. She guided our humanity, our empathy, our recognition for our faults.

We miss her very much.

Let the cascade of sounds and light, drape over you.

Let her touch envelope your every being.

She misses you too.

Johnny McFadzean is his project The Woods, and in this single ‘Armchair Expert’ the calming elegance of the keys, dueling against the soft mellows of his vocals, depict the subtle ambience of what acts and results can define self containment and character flaws.

“The song is a wee response to all the ‘armchair experts’ who tell you what you can and can’t do, that it’s a terrible idea to step out and take a chance for fear of failing. I don’t mind falling out of trees because it turns out I love climbing them.” – Johnny McFadzean, The Woods

“Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string… In the woods is perpetual youth” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

McFadzean is a multi-instrumentalist and digital artist with a sense for the extraordinary in the mundane little bits of life. One of his literary heroes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, helps in his endeavors as a musician and producer, inspiring his works.

“They kind of rewired my brain at a time I needed rewiring,” says the musician.

Kudos, Johnny. Kudos.
