Très Oui’s ‘Red Wine & Dry Ice’ is off of their upcoming album ‘Poised To Flourish’ (due out February 9th). It takes your legs and makes them not remember the varicose veins that could have been, and tells you to be ACTIVE and HEAR this song from the band. The song finds that sweet spot to the ‘odd corner’ of ‘designed chaos’ and makes it surf-rock-cool with actual modern musical fabulousness.
That whole paragraph means that this song is Danceable, Rock-able, and fluffy and light like a well made Croissant.
Yes. That analogy was necessary.
Crusty and firm, yet soft and flavorful is ‘Red Wind & Dry Ice. Especially the guitar work. Feels like we are sliding on the perfect ice skate rink, with the brand new ice having been Zambonied.
Austin’s Très Oui is led by Literature frontman, Nate Cardaci, with previous Literature members Steven Garcia (also of Rose Selavy) and Seth Whaland, along with synth player Ian Jensen. The chemistry is fine, and expected for sure.
It’s a good combo, we say, for it’s obivious from their past EP offering to the current band new LP to come.
‘Poised To Flourish’ is currently available for [PRE-ORDER HERE].
They’re rep’ed by Shrimper/Revolver.
Très Oui will play a record release show at Austin’s Hotel Vegas on February 17th and SXSW in March (details TBA.)
