¡What! ‘Desperado’ : Live show endurance permeates this good natured rock excitement.

¡What!

Effervescent embrace of life is what the intro guitar riff brings to the fore. Excitement of living. Excitement in thrillin’. Excitement in getting ‘life’ done, the way you’d want.

Founded in 2018 by lead singer and guitarist Jonathan Cain, along with bassist Franklin Tangren (originally on drums), the group initially formed under the name Mind’s Eye, and consisted of just two members, until they were joined by percussionist Ben Lohrding in 2019.

The band changed its name to ¡What! just before they recorded their first commercial release.

The trio incorporates elements of Alternative Rock, Blues, Power Pop, Psychedelic Rock, Punk, and Funk. The group’s influences include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Steve Miller Band, Green Day, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and Bob Dylan.
