Wolf Parade helping raise funds to donate towards Puerto Rico disaster relief.

The gang at Wolfe Parade announced today that they have opened a GoFundMe account to help the people of Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico, an incorporated territory of the United States with full U.S. citizens, was decimated from Hurricane Maria. Currently the the island has, according to The Washington Post reporting, 80% of its population still does not have power. This means everything that relies on electricity, including water distribution, has stopped and is not getting to the public.

Wolf Parade stated that: “We’re raising funds for disaster relief in Puerto Rico and giving away tickets to our tour dates in the process.”

“People on the ground need clean water, food, and basic assistance. The goal of this GoFundMe is to make things a little easier for the people of Puerto Rico who have been devastated by natural disaster”.

The Montreal Canada head quartered band stated that “all proceeds will go to The Hurricane Maria Community Relief & Recovery Fund—housed at the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD)” – a left-leaning nonprofit advocacy group in the United States.

“100% of monies raised will be used to support immediate relief & long-term equitable rebuilding in Puerto Rico for the communities hit hardest by the storm.”

“Chosen Participants will receive 2 guest-list spots to a show of your choosing + signed Vinyl of our new record.”

Here are the rules from Wolf Parade:
