Wrestlers is the ever-evolving pop outfit from Texas. With beats in one hand, and groove in the other, the trio makes you dance. Dropping their self-titled debut EP, they combine a range of influences spanning rare-groove, disco, yacht rock, and Off The Wall-era Michael Jackson into so much more.
According to vocalist Trevor Scott: “We wrote these songs as a way to synthesize everything we’ve come to learn and love throughout our time playing music. Starting out in various punk and indie-rock bands then transitioning to house and pop left us with a lot of different ideas, but no clear way to pull them together. This EP was a way to achieve that.”
With a focus on live-instrumentation heightened by the expert touch of Grammy-winner Steve Christensen (Khruangbin, Steve Earle, Robert Ellis), each of the songs found on Wrestlers provides its own unique path to the dance floor. Beginning with the charging groove of ‘Caught In The Middle’ through the blissed-out funk in ‘Deadline’ there’s an undeniable pocket the band consistently finds itself in.
Wrestlers together are Aidan Kennedy, David Elkin, Trevor Scott, and they bring refreshing vibes and retaliating charms to our ears.

All good things come to an end 💜 This Friday (July 3rd), we’ll be releasing the final chapter of the Wrestlers story. A 5-track EP that was created with dear friends and collaborators closest to the project. Through the years, this band has been a lot of different things to a lot of different people, and taken us places that we couldn’t have ever imagined. Thank you to all the friends, fans, and family that have supported us, and shared the journey! It should be said, that Wrestlers simply would not exist without Black music and art. Having taken so much inspiration and knowledge from Black culture, it is only right that we give credit where credit is due, which is why we will be donating (and matching personally) all of the proceeds and royalties from tomorrow’s @bandcamp day to the American Civil Liberties Union. It is a small step in the right direction, but one that is very necessary. Thank you everyone, from the bottom of our hearts. We’ll see u on the next dance floor 💜 📸: @listenyoungman
