ZIG MENTALITY ‘If You Ever’ : Pummeled up against the rival notions of good and evil.

Zig Mentality

‘THE SESH’ EP’s lead single ‘If You Ever’ clips your angel wings and trashes them for you to watch them burn.

“You never deserved that recognition anyway, right?” as you nod in agreement. But we get it. You’d been monitoring your ‘wing creds’ throughout life like you do for your credit score. Up some points, down the next as you submit for mortgage, or a car or two. But this is, in its bare bones, a different kind of credit, and you sensed it from the start.

The single is a blood roiling riff groovin’ blood on wall kind of indie-rock that screams and heaves with ultimate fetishization. A mangling of sounds and sights, reveled in the riveted bas and guitar, pummeled up against the rival notions of good and evil.

“A ‘zig’ is a sharp change in direction, so we’re willing to keep an open mind and break rules,” said leader Jig. “That goes for the fact that we’re playing rock music our own way. If you come to one of our shows, there are mosh pits, stage diving and crowd surfing, we want young people to benefit from the vibe we offer.”

“’ZIG MENTALITY’ means being ready to adapt and grow,” continued Jig. “A zig is a sharp change in direction, so we’re willing to keep an open mind and break rules. That goes for the fact that we’re playing rock music our own way. If you come to one of our shows, there are mosh pits, stage diving and crowd surfing, we want young people to benefit from the vibe we offer.”

ZIG MENTALITY consists of brothers Jig Dubé, Liam Dubé and Quinn Dubé. The Ottawa, Canada based trio of brothers make this engine of hopes and crushed anthems of ZIG MENTALITY, flourish.
