ZULU ‘Tether’ : But what about until then? Will we ever be ‘un-tethered’ again? Let’s just try the best we can.

ZULU

‘Tether’ is ZULU’s 3rd single. Combining elements from a vast array of genres, perhaps most prominently psychedelic rock, synth-pop and shoegaze, merging to form their own recognizable brand of synth-and-chorus-heavy dream-pop.

The single continues the theme of 80’s synth nostalgia and ethereal choruses found on their previous releases; this time with a distinct dream-pop influence, allowing for a spacious, atmospheric sound.

Our sensibilities wander with impatience and slow degradation. A new world of technology, money, power, and unfettered access to stranger’s thoughts, minds, and expressions. It is the age of computers and processors. Software pushing the boundaries of biology and its inherent deep time worth of evolutionary rules.

Perilous? Dangerous?

Maybe.

Biology, though isn’t static. And given enough time, adaptation will ensue.

But what about until then? Will we ever be ‘un-tethered’ again?

Let’s just try the best we can.

Fred Greaves, Harry Mckenzie, Harry Mackenzie, Matt Mcloughlin and Daniel Langley together are ZULU.
